Tha Cult of Knit: Save Yourself

You know...us knitters aren't ALL evil. Sure, some of us perpetrated the "martha stewart coming home poncho" :eek that took over the world for a few days, and who can forget the overabundance of scarves around the last 2 years.

BUT...some of us use crochet and knitting in conjunction, and do NOT try to suck people into the knitting fad like some crazed Cultist looking for converts!!

Crochet and let crochet, I always say.

I learned to knit because I wanted to make a Sophie bag (not coincidently - for my friend Sophie). It took me so long! I'm glad I made it because now I have a better idea of how to convert knit patterns to crochet (since I can now read knit patterns).

But when my sister wanted to start playing with yarn, she asked my mum and I (mum's an avid knitter) if she should learn to knit (from mum) or crochet (from me). Mum wanted to learn to do what I was doing too, so I'm teaching both of them to crochet! And I'm making totes for each of them that have that "hookers have more fun" stencil on the front!

Gotta love it!
