I used RH WW yarn in Burgendy and black. I used an H hook. That's what I had with me when I sat down and looked through the magazine. Took almost one skien of yarn (I had a little ball of burgendy left).

Wow, it's so pretty! That's hairpin lace, isn't it?

Nope, not hairpin lace. Just lots of triple crochet stitches (and I crochet lose, so they're a little bigger then normal). You do 7 in one stitch, then you do 7 in separate stitches holding last strand and pulling through all 8 stitches. It does kind of look like it though, doesn't it?

I love that shawl! I made it a month or so ago in white cotton, and edged it in Paton's (?) mosaic. It turned out really nice.

And I love your color choice, especially for fall weather.
