Pumpkin Hook

I thought it might be fun to do a fall/halloween crochet-along!! I went so far as to ask for a volunteer button maker, and Ladywinter graciously made these (thank you so much! <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif" />):

<img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/shelbyro/pmkhook1.bmp" />

<img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/shelbyro/pmkhook2.bmp" />

For this "along" feel free to make any halloween and/or fall decor items, and I will make a gallery to post them in for all to see.

There are lots of links to free patterns available, and you can start here:

<a href="http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/halloween.php" target="_new">CPC Halloween links</a>

I hope you'll join me!

Great Jenn--I know, the orange can be shocking compared to more subtle colors. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/wha.gif" />

I pulled out a bunch of freebie patterns that I am gonna make for this, now I have to get some supplies!

Please join us if you want to make something autumn-ish, too!

Antarachik--you can count your pumpkin for this! Maybe you'll make some more of them! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/bounce012.gif" />

Great! The more the merrier (or should I say :scarier"?)! Be sure to post pictures :camera of your projects for the yet-to-be-made gallery, and feel free to use the buttons above.

Unfortunately, I am still in a holding pattern, as I forgot to buy brown yarn when I was at Walmart last night....duh! :bad

I'm in! I wanted to join this one from the beginning, but couldn't find what I wanted to make.....until now. I found the cutiest Spider on Crochet Pattern Central. I'm gonna turn it into a black widow and wear it as a pin. Unfortunately, I have no black yarn! e-gads, I guess I have to go to Walmart. Oh, and I'm gonna make a spider web for the little thing to rest on when not on me. I better get to it----Halloween is right around the corner :bad

Finished my pumpkin...pattern came from Marlo (<a href="http://www.marloscrochetcorner.com/stuffed%20pumpkin.html" target="_blank">Stuffed Pumpkin</a>). I used Red Heart in an orange color, and a green called Green Sage or medium sage (too lazy to get up and look...lol)

Yay!

I'm making the same pumpkin, Jenn! :) (www.marloscrochetcorner.c...pkin.html)

I am using Aunt Lydia's craft yarn in Pumpkin and Christmas Green. I am using an I hook, but the yarn is breaking apart. :( One question... I'm having trouble with the slip stitches. I have to be really careful or I lose stitches. Has anyone else who has tried this pattern run into that problem? I'm not giving up, though, just counting carefully!! :lol

Thanks :)

I only had a problem with the stitches, bc I attempted to do the pattern with a head cold...my head was too foggy to comprehend what I was doing, and I had to frog once or twice...blah. lol

I finally finished my pumpkin! :D That little pain in the tushie!!!!! :evil I used the Marlo's Crochet Corner pattern and found the slip stitches very hard to deal with. Probably because I was using Aunt Lydia's craft yarn and that just plain stinks. :bad It kept breaking on me. Now I know why it was on clearance!!!! Oh well. :) It's done. And here it is!!!

I'll be making more, too, this time with Red Heart and Mainstays yarn. I learned my lesson!!! :lol
