Stretcy stitches

I need suggestions for "stretcy stitches/patterns".

 

An example: I know that "sc,ch3,sc"- loops are stretchy.

 

But I need some alternatives... please help.

shell's got it - this is the best stretchy st around! The larger the hook the stretchier is is so make some gauge swatches!

Slip stitches in the front or back loop only tend to be very stretchy.

I´m going to use it in a top, so a bit lacy is good, but not to "holey"

I was crocheting around the post recently and was amazed at how stretchy the rows were.

If you do the "sc,ch1,sc" one, it will stretch up and down. You can turn the work sideways if you want it to stretch sideways.

 

I used treble spaces in my water bottle bag. The variation using the spaces is really stretchy. Mine is getting too big for the bottle!
