A Little "Elf" Doily

I was so excited at Ben Franklin Crafts last night to find smaller crochet hooks (11, 12, 13, 14) and even TATTING NEEDLES! I also splurged on a few balls of sz. 80 tatting thread, and made this little Patricia Kristofferson doily when I got home. If you click on the picture it will make it bigger (bigger than life, in fact!). It is pattern #29 from 99 Little Doilies.

 

I know many of our crafters have made lots and lots from threads finer than this, but I am just tickled pink!

Kate that is so cute!! i have no idea the real size of the coin you used, but I am guessin that "doiley" is about 2"? it's very sweet! i am so jealous you got to see tatting supplies. we don't have anything like that here. it looks fab, i love it.

I'm impressed! So far the smallest I've done is #20 for doilies and a few snowflakes in #30.

 

The coin is a US quarter is about 1inch(2.5cm) in diameter.
