MT's Scarf

This scarf, for my best friend (check out his ravishing music at http://www.myspace.com/marcteamaker), was so incredibly satisfying to make! The granite stitch is dead easy (1 SC 1 CH ad nauseam) but the results are striking. It's all about the colour placement.

 

I used Cleckheaton wool crepe for the black and red, Cleckheaton Country for the off-white, and (best of all) Cleckheaton Country Silk (a blend of wool and silk) for the grey. The scarf is extra wide so it can be doubled up for extra warmth.

Hey thanks! MT loves black and red together, and although I love this combo, it can sometimes be a little harsh. I think the grey softens it and makes it manlier (although I'd be happy to wear it myself).
