Wool B'day Shawl

Just thought I'd share a pic and a pattern: I made this out of knitpicks wool for the Lakota Elder I sponsor for her birthday last week.

Here's the pattern! It was easy and fun and different from the usual fishnet patterns you see.

I wish it had come out a little less lacy like the original, I think I may have stretched it too enthusiastically while blocking.

I'm a grandorphan so it's nice to do something for an Elder. I regret I didn't write to MY grandma every month and make her little birthday gifts while she was still alive. It's kind of appalling how old you have to be to really appreciate how important people are to you and how important you are to them....
