Yarn Sale....Made a Scarf with what I bought

Michael's is having a yarn sale on all that speciality yarn...

Yarn that is usually $5.99 to $6.99 a skein is $1.00 dollar...

yes one dollar!!!

 

I went and bought some today and made this skinny scarf, it was like

crocheting in braille but worked pretty fast...I used a big hook..

Ha ha! I scored today too! I got there just a little after they opened and some of the 'choice' colors were already gone, but lucky for me:think my daughter wants a LIME GREEN themed afghan:eek so there was plenty of that color available... got Moda Dea, Bernat, Lion Brand... those yarns are just so hard for me to work with sometimes that I think I'll hold two strands... just need to figure out what goes with lime green:lol

For Lime Green as base color, try a blue or a purple. My one granddaughter has blue with the lime in her bedroom and looks really neat.

I think I will check it out today. If I find some yarn that is nice I will buy some. One of my goals this year is to save as much money as possible.

So why do I want to buy more yarn? Oh well I am still going to Michaels.

OH did I get sucked in by this sale. Not as bad the Pat Catan's sale when I was home for Christmas, but bad enough. Oh Well, I'll have yarn on hand for quick scarf gifts, that is, of course, until winter's over

I went back to Michaels and got more of the sale yarn...just couldn't pass up a sale like that. They even had that ribbon yarn on sale for $2.00 a skein. I didn't get any though...

 

then I came home and made 4 more skinny scarves.....4th is almost done...hehehe
