Up and running...

It's official. My blog is up and going. Funny thing is, this was so much easier to maintain and rework when I was running pMachines on my own server. Ahhh, those were the days-- that is, before I went and changed a bunch of things, and totally frelled my SQL database.

Now... If only I could get one of those cute little buttons... LOL! I don't suppose I have any volunteers for that?!?!?!!

Oh yeah, guess I could probably list my blog URL, huh?

Kari,

Thanks for the buttons!! I <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/rowofhearts.gif" /> them!!

The forgetting the real name thing on my blog is an oversight on my part. I'll change that with my next post...

You making a .gif with white as trasparent color? Sometimes a color isn't just one color (different shades of colors) so it won't all disappear. I can't figure anything to stop it but you can go in a clean it up or have someone else do it for you. I can't right now but if no one does this weekend I can monday.

okay, guess i should have been more clear. i made it in word, then what i usually do is copy/paste the picture to a program that allows me to crop as a jpeg, but for whatever reason... that program is not on my computer:huh

hubby is out of town, and the guts of the computer are his thing......

so, what i was thinking is that i could email someone the word document, and they could take the picture and crop it?????

i've had a cup or two :coffee (okay, 3) so maybe now that made more sense :fluffy

Rebecca, to save a button from Word, all you have to do is this:

File > Save As > Web Page (in the drop-down box under Save as type)

Your file will be saved as a web page and the image will be saved as either a gif or jpg, depending on what's in it. So, if you called your document cutebutton, when you save it as a web page, you will have a file called cutebutton.html and a folder called cutebutton_files. Look in the folder and you will find either a gif or jpg of the button you created. EDIT: After reading Julie's post below, I realized Word has never saved any as a jpg for me, always gifs. So maybe it doesn't do jpg after all.

The .gif saves better, sometimes a .jpg gets all wavy looking. Just my <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/twocents.gif" />

Hmm. . . now that I think about it Word has never saved one as a jpg for me anyway. Maybe it only does gifs. I agree, they are usually clearer.
