You know, something struck me, though... as long as I've been crocheting (more than 2/3 of my LIFE!), I've never ONCE made a dishcloth.

Weird.

But yours is good! What did you use? Cotton thread or just regular old acrylic yarn?

I love the colors.

I use my crocheted dishcloths all the time. They don't get as smelly as the bought ones; plus they are prettier.

I used Peaches and Creme cotton...and that particular color is peppermint.

It looks great! I love making dishcloths, I much prefer them to the old regular 'J Cloths' or sponges. Gotta love cotton yarn!

Your dishcloth looks great! I love making and using dishcloths, and my family is always bugging me to make them more. They are great scrubbers and hold up really well.

Another good thing is you can make them as big or small as you want. And all the different stitches you can use. I am doing another one but this time using a double stitch.

That is SO true. I have small hands, so I make mine a little on the smaller side (but I have to remember that they shrink anyway...). It's a good way to test out new patterns, or practice stitches for your new project, too. Love crocheted cotton dishclothes. So much better than sponges that get icky after a short while.
