Need Favorites Please!

Hi!

Last weekend we had a huge power surge at my house and ended up loosing some of our electronics (our Tivo, Cable box, and some others) including my laptop. Here is where I could use your help. I lost all of my favorite websites saved on my computer. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your favorite crochet websites so I could start updating the list on the new computer. The first two I added were The 'Ville and Crochet Patterns Central. Thanks for the help.

These are just a scratch on the surface. They are many, many more. I wish I could make my database public. Then you could type in a word like "hat" or "bag" (it seems like every site that has patterns has either at a hat or a bag) and the search results would bring forth a wealth of sites.

Thanks Rachel, and everyone for your extensive list of websites! I think I may actually benefit from having my laptop fried, as I am getting all these new favorites to add that weren't on the laptop.:lol

Thank you Rachel for your list. I really expanded mine and will have hours of fun looking at everything. I just really got the hang of saving the sites to favorites, so this helped me as I'm sure it did others that are fairly new to this site.

Not a problem. Only took me a few minutes, as I have bookmarks galore. Just a tip...backup your bookmarks often if you can! You can put them on a floppy.

I'm not too familiar with IE (Internet Explorer) but if anybody needs a mini tutorial how to save their bookmarks to floppy if they're using Mozilla Firefox, let me know.

I use Firefox too, but for any IE users, it's simple to make a backup: Just click on IE's File menu, then Import and Export. This starts a wizard that will walk you through the process.

When you come to the point where you choose which favourites you want to back up: for a specific folder, click and highlight its name; otherwise leave the highlight just on "Favorites", which will back up everything.
