I haven't tried anything from a graph because I'm not sure it would turn out right. My husband was in the Navy when we got married. He might like an afghan like that.

Have you seen the June Crochet World? It is Red White and Blue! Almost everything is patriotic. And there is graphs for all the services.

my son would love this. He is leaving for ship as we speak. He has been in the Navy for 12 years and I still never feel comfortable when he isn't on the good ole terra firma of the USA. Your DH should love you forever when you create something that takes so much time and consideration.
