Beaded bag

My friend asked me to make a beaded bag for her, and this is what I came up with:

I used DMC Traditions 100% Cotton size 10 thread for the bag, with silver glass rocaille beads. For the trim along the top I used this amazing No boundaries yarn I discovered at Wal Mart. There was no specific yarn name, but they had several and all were eyelash type yarns. And of course, silver metallic ribbon woven through for a way to close it up. Oh, and I used a G hook.

I just worked in rounds of sc, increasing till the bottom was big enough. Then I worked even for a row, then skipped every other sc for a row, then continued to work even for the rest of the bag. The rows with beads are dc, with 2 beads for each stitch. The row with the ribbon woven through is dc also.

This was my first project with beads, and the first time I made something without a pattern. So I am very proud of it! I am going to make one for myself now, but black and gold instead of blue and silver.
