Here is 2 dishcloths that I made last night.  A co-worker of my mom asked if I could make her some.  These patterns are actually for doillies but I thought they would make great dishcloths so I swapped the yarn recommended for cotton.post-41739-0-84910200-1392149623_thumb.jpgpost-41739-0-94765100-1392149638_thumb.jpg

I think your round dishcloths are pretty and I like the idea to use doily patterns!

Thank you.  My mom said she will keep the round ones because she needs new ones.  I don't really care for making the square/rectangle dishcloths.  I think they are kind of boring.  I like to work in rounds.

I thought your round ones were very cute - and maybe some people ought to try branching out once in a while and live life on the wild side by washing their dishes with a *gasp* round dishcloth!!  :rofl

If you like to work in rounds, just make a square in the round instead of in rows.  Like a granny square, but less holey.  :wink

Thank you for making me laugh!

I didn't think to do a granny square.  I may have to give that a whirl.

Okay.  I made 2 more dishcloths.  Hopefully she will like these.  I made them the same.  I found the index card on her and made the dishcloth pattern I made for her.  Since I do sell dishcloths and on occasion other items, I keep an index card with the person's name, what they wanted, yarn brand/color and what they paid.

  • 2 weeks later...

Two more dishcloths I made over the last day or two.

I made a sort-of dishcloth/tawashi thing...

I had washing silverware in mind while creating this... LOL

Here is a kitchen set made for a friend of mine.  Dishcloth, hot pad, four coasters and a dress dishcloth.

All are wonderful!
