Veteran's Day Silent Auction

Our Cub Scout troop is hosting a chili supper and silent auction in honor of the veterans in our community on Veteran's Day! They happen to charter the scouts and as a new scout parent, I'm trying to become as involved as I can.

 

Along with volunteering to make some chili & cornbread for that day, I also volunteered to make some items for the silent auction.

 

This is the first part of a Patriotic Kitchen set: A double-thick potholder and simple dishcloth. I've decided after seeing the picture that the dishcloth needs a shell or picot border, so I'll be adding that. I'm also thinking that a towel with topper and some scrubbies would be nice to go with this.

 

Anyways, sorry to be so long winded.. Here's the potholder & dishcloth!

Those are really neat. I love the way it's kind of shabby-looking colors and not real bright. Very nice! You should fetch handsome bids for those!
