Baby Afghan Advice Please

My friend is having a baby in October and I was considering the idea of making them a baby blanket. I don't have access to a lot of yarn and I'm not into buying yarn online. They have some baby yarn at Walmart, where I usually get yarn, but not much. So... Is Caron's Simply Soft a good alternative for a keepsake like this?

Definitely. I've made several with Simply Soft and they've lasted for years and still look almost new.

I agree with everyone else. I use Caron SS for a lot of baby garments, etc.

I'm lucky enough to be the recipient of alot of baby afghans from all the people who donate to the NICU. I've seen baby ghans done in every yarn you can think of - Caron SS will be lovely!

I have just made 4 Circular baby afghans for NICU, all using Caron Simply Soft. I think it's a very nice alternative for baby sport weight.
