Thanks everyone. My mom said the round one is "too pretty" and she will "have to use it as a doily".

 

Now I will have to make her at least one more dishcloth, maybe 2. She requested the dishcloths for her birthday. I made her about 6 both knitted and crocheted many years ago...now that every one of them is gone she wants more:yes.

 

She has never knit, but used to crochet--her arthritis (hands and shoulders) won't let her anymore...I think she taught me how to make a crochet chain around the age of 7. By 9 I was in love with granny squares and could make them endlessly (it WAS the 70's;) ). Been crocheting ever since .. I guess the important question is make 1 or 2 more for her now, of make her 5 or 6 for Christmas:think
