Dr. Who scarf?

I've been looking for a photo of the Dr. Who scarf....No joy yet in finding it.

Im looking for the original scarf from the series that ran from the 60's-80's...

They have a new series, but really looking for the old school version.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I should make my oldest daughter one. She was and is avid Dr Who fan. We were talking about that just the other day. Thanks for a wonderful Idea for a Christmas present for her. Now to find the colors.

I think the Dr. Who scarf was just a really long stockinette stitch scarf, right?

I sure did love that show when I was little. Does it come on in America anymore?

 

Eta: Oh, duh, I just went to your link. It's just garter stitch, then? That would be pretty easy, but killer boring.

A friend of mine has been knitting one for her husband for the last 3 years. I think she said she was making it 20ft long, for some reason. Have fun!

I crocheted a version of one for my husband a couple years ago... actually, I made him two... one closer to full length, and a second, shorter, "everyday" version. of course, he never wears either one.

Oh, too cool! Someday I'll have to make one of these, although whether I'll keep it or will have it cruelly stolen from me by one of my nearest and dearest, I can't begin to guess.

 

Love the new series, btw! We've been fans for years, and were worried they might bugger it up, but we are happy to say we're enjoying it tremendously. We even set our little Dalek toy on the tv as a mascot while we're watching. Our other faves are Battlestar Galactica (new version) and Deadwood. (I may crochet a small pillow embroidered with a certain word common to that show, trimmed all in frills and lace -- the contrast between the ladylike pillow and "that word" would be too delicious! BTW, I'm not avoiding the word because I have delicate sensibilities -- far from it -- but in deference to the fact that there are people on here who actually *do* have taste and refinement, bless 'em.)
