I started this pair of socks back in May, during the Loopy

Ewe's sponsored CAL. I only finished one sock then, so I'm happy to report that the pair is at last complete. The pattern is my own, which is why I practically had to dissect the first sock in order to make the second.

Love your socks. I looked at the additional pictures and am interested in the way you do your heel. Do you have that written out? Or could you write it out for all our inquiring minds?

It's not what you'd call a proper pattern, but I wrote a fairly clear explanation of how it works here:

An experienced sock crocheter should be able to make it work from that--but if you haven't done heels before, it's probably an incomplete explanation.
