Bookmark CAL

I thought it would be fun to do a bookmark cal. Since they are quick items to crochet. This is an ongoing CAL feel free to join in at any time. There is no limit make as many bookmarks as you want. Start whenever you want to. There is no start date just when you want to start your bookmark. Please post picture we all love pictures. It would be great if you could tell us where the pattern came from when posting your pictures. This is not required but would make the CAL a lot more fun for everyone I think.

 

There are so many cute free bookmark patterns. Just about everyone loves to read. Bookmarks make a great personalized gift! A gift that will be used a lot over and over.

 

So who wants to join me in crocheting bookmarks? I will be adding links to free bookmark patterns. After all bookmarks can be cute, plain, girly, manly, long and frilly in other words a bookmark can be made to fit anyone's personality.

Also the cool thing about bookmarks is they can be made with either thread or any type of yarn!

 

So get your hook, yarn/thread, and pattern and get started!

They are fun to make and work up so quickly. Also the bookmarks use up very little yarn and thread.

I found a cute, free, apple bookmark pattern last night and tried it out. http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/huggems/3dapplebookmark.html It was super easy and done in an hour or less. I will post a picture after a while.

 

As you can see, I am anxious to get started. :lol:yay

Why not try the bookmark thong by Donna it's listed in post one. It is gorgeous. It works up quickly and uses very little thread and uses 2 beads.

I don't know about thread but I made mine using regular worsted and a size E hook. I like the finished size and don't know that I would have wanted it any smaller.
