My Thread Booties

Recommended Posts

I have made thread booties for quite some time. However, they all seem to be longer than what I feel is appropriate for newborn to 3 month size. They seem large enough for 6 month size. I don't know if it is just my tension or what! I don't seem to have that problem with other thread projects! Anyway, I made these a bit smaller. In fact, they are 4 stitches shorter on each side, 8 stitches total around. I am much happier with the sizing!

Sorry there is no picture as I am blind. Feel free to use this pattern, but PLEASE do not take credit for my work.

I made Brenda´s booties... though I didn´t use thread but a very thin yarn instead... and here are the results...

Hope it would help someone to see how nice Brenda´s designs turn out.

Thanks Brenda for sharing your patterns

Marumin,

That was so nice of you to post a picture of Brenda's booties. What size hook did you use? I crochet very tight so I need to go up a size or two. These are so cute and would make a nice gift.

Nannygoat

I used a size 2.00 mm hook (almost a B in US size)

I am currently making some of these for our local christmas House boutique that is held every November. Any ideas on a price? the nice thing about these booties is that the "cuff" can be changed to accommodate a wide variety of designs, including more simple ones for boys.
