How to make a Nostepinde

A Nostepinde is a homemade winder.

 

I came across this while blog hopping & thought it might help anyone who does not have a winder. It looks very easy to make cakes of yarn with center pulls.

Jimbo made me my noste. I gave it my best but my balls all came out looking like footballs. I love my ballwinder.

I just wind around my fingers keeping the center yarn around my thumb. I turn the ball a little at a time while winding. They come out pretty good!

I may make my next video on winding a ball of yarn with a center pull working yarn.

I use a marker or really fat pen to wrap on. You know how it is what ever is handy at that moment.

They are beautiful, and although I would love to own one, I buy my yarn in skeins and only know that, the old dog new trick theory..lol..

Thanks I found it now. How silly of me. I went to your blog when I couldn't get the link to work last night and I over looked the listing on the right. I hate head/chest colds. A lint roller from walmart after it has been emptied of all of the sticky sheets with the end cut off works great for a ball winder.
