Double Layer Towel Toppers

I wanted to share these two towel toppers I made. This one is folded in half (not cut) and machine stitched along the top.

 

 

The 2nd method I did with the red towel is where you only fold and pin the towel in half. There is no cutting and no machine stitching necessary.

 

 

Both methods and the free crochet pattern for the 2-ply double towel toppers are found here. So what do you think? Do you like the double towel idea?

Thanks everyone! Yes I really like the double layer -- no cutting or sewing idea. I guess I'm lazy and just want to get to the crocheting part of making towel toppers so this method works wonderfully for me.

I make mine "double layer" too. I Love how you do the top end of your hanger, how it spreads out like a flower in a way. Mine aren't nearly that pretty
