Toy Drive: Crocheting items for boys?

I'm currently crocheting some things for KristieMN's toy drive. I know that it's hard to find patterns for toy items for boys. I've made a few bookmarks: a dinosaur, a frog, a gecko, and a dragon... but I really wanted to do some 3-d toy items as well. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Wow, you have really given me some great ideas. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are just too adorable! My adult daughter would even love to receive those! LOL She used to watch the show all the time when she was youger. The Ratatouille looks just like the cartoon! Thanks!! :clap

I made this frog with flies to practice counting for my cousins boy. She said all of her kids loved it and that it was quite a hit with boys and girls.

It wasn't a hard pattern and worked up pretty quickly.

I can't imagine a little boy who wouldn't love to get this! The flies are so cute, and perfect for a frog bookmark I made... I think I'm gonna make one and sew it onto the toungue! LOL Thanks! :yay

When I crochet for my daughters school, frogs, snakes, turtles, and bats are the boys favorites....go figure!

I have seen a free bat pattern somewhere on the web too.... if I find it, i will post the link!

Thanks!

checker boards would be another idea...I know some have been posted here as show and tell...and it's in CPAD 2006, Jan 1. http://www.midnightknitter.com/knitpixiepatterns/uploads/mini_checkerboard.htm

DS enjoys his (I made it in MI colors (Big 10 football, go blue!) maize and blue) of course, traditional red and black work also.

There's a mancala game board out there, if you can find it. It was a JPfun free daily pattern. I didn't see it in the free patterns on that site just now though. sorry.
