rayon chenille???

AT the fiber arts festival I went to a couple weeks ago, I got a cone of 2lbs of rayon chenille. I love the color, a denim blue, what do I do with it.

depending on what weight it is, use it doubled up to look suede-y. I've seen it used for shawls, bags, held with other textured yarns...

I'm making a capelet right now with a winter white rayon chenille. Very nice!

and if you wash it .. it "fluffs" a little more.. you can do what ever you want with it .. i love it .. even overdyed some

If it's the thin 1500 ypp, I double it and use a large hook (N) and make a shawl similar to the one on Lion brand site for the sueded shawl pattern. I also used the thinner chenille to make a an AJ wristbag and that came out beuatifully. Used same directions, just substituted one strand of chenille. I also made a mesh poncho out of some. I'm getting very versatile at using the rayon chenille.

I used a single strand for a scarf for my mother in law for Christmas and I doubled it for a matching hat.

i also bought some of that and made a shawl with it. turned out so nice. the person i gave it to loves it and that makes me the happiest:lol :lol is wonderful stuff i tell you:lol :lol vicki
