Recycled Easter Basket with Free Pattern

Here is my recycled Easter basket I crocheted from the beautiful purple bags that mellowe67 sent me last fall.

 

 

I feel so bless to have the opportunity to make something with such pretty bags. I didn't have too many so I've saved them to make this basket for Easter. I added a bit of white plarn (plastic bag yarn) to trim the basket and cover the plastic strap I used for the handle. The complete tutorial with free pattern can be found here.

I love it. I haven't seen any purple bags, but the yellow bags from Dollar General would probably look good too.

Yes yellow would work well and even white and you could add ribbon to spice it up.

I am so glad you were able to use my purple bags. As soon as I saw them at the grocery store I knew I would have to save them for you! They were a Easter-time only thing at a local grocery store that has since closed.
