I found something quite similar in Liz Blackwell's "A Treasury of Crochet Patterns". She does not give it a name; it is simply No. 16 under Double crochet. :) The instructions are as follows.

Chain a multiple of 4 plus 3.

Row 1: In 4th ch from hook work (2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc), * skip 3 ch, in next ch work (3 dc, ch 1, 1 dc); rep from *, ending skip 2 ch, 1 dc in last ch. Ch 3, turn.

Row 2: Under first ch-1 work (2 dc, ch 1, 1dc), * under next ch-1 work ( 3 dc, ch 1, 1 dc); rep from *, ending pattern under last ch-1, 1 dc in 2nd ch of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.

Repeat row 2 for pattern.

Hope this is the right one. It sure looks close to me.

That's what I was going to say, looks like the diagonal box stitch.

Very simple and works up fast.

Ch 6, dc in 4th, 5th and 6th ch from hook, ch 6, turn.

Dc in 4th, 5th and 6th ch from hook, sl st in ch-3 sp from prev row, 3 dc in same sp. Ch 6 turn

I know you can find tutorials on this, just google diagonal crochet/diagonal stitch and you'll find them.
