  1. I agree with the other two ladies. Get permission first. Many authors of patterns, especially free ones, do not want the pattern redistributed in any form, they just require a link back to their pattern. Youtube tutorial videos seems to me to be one of those redistributions.
  2. Yeah, it takes us to a vest pattern, what does that have to do with a scarf? Although it is a very pretty and intricate pattern.
  3. Yeah, it looks like hdc between hdc of the row below. I don't see any ch sps between the hdc of the last row.
  4. Pretty! If you make it long enough, it would make a great dress too.
  5. Materials WW yarn such as RHSS. To be safe, 2 skeins, 6oz Crochet hook size 7mm (this is between a K and L, so either of those would work too) yarn needle Gauge: Unimportant Difficulty: Medium Size: One Instructions Note: ch 1 at beg of rows does not count as a st Ch 71, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Rows 2-30: Ch 1, turn. Working in the horizontal yarn below top of hdc, hdc in each hdc across. Note: the last hdc can be difficult to see. Count your sts periodically to make sure you always have the same number. After Row 30
  6. Yeah, getting internal service error when I click the pattern link. Will go and try to locate it myself. Love them. I construct slippers similarly, but the post stitches look like they make a nice, thick slipper.
  7. Just finished this yesterday. Obviously I ran out of purple on the last row of scarf, but I like it anyway. If anyone wants the pattern I will publish it and eventually get it on my Ravelry, where all my patterns are free. It's pretty simple, up until the scarf construction, but even that isn't too difficult. I just used stash yarn to do it with. The pink came from an old afghan I pulled apart and it had some stains in it. But some oxy powder took care of that. A turn in the washing machine/dryer, and it looks great. Okay, I put the pattern in Original patterns. I hope they're clear. http
  8. This is absolutely gorgeous, saved it to try sometime when I'm not busy doing other things. It might not get done till next year, but I intend to do one. As for criticizing your tree because they didn't like its fullness? is what I think of that. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it looks like you have many beholders here who love it just the way it is.
  9. Wow, I love pineapples and this is very pretty.
  10. What color is it? I can look in our Wal Mart here in Natchez, MS, they still have a good size stock of Mainstays, I think.

Almost finished the pineapple shawl, still working on the tie Made a few more roses for the rose afghan Still haven't done anything on the 63 squares Haven't done anything on the knit or crochet socks Haven't done anything on the basketweave scarf Finished the knit dishcloth I'm also detangling a 35 gallon tote of tangled yarn. Not all of it is tangled, I just have to get through the tangles to get to the bottom of the tote. Since Monday night I've almost got it all done. I've put aside everything but the tie and shawl, those need to be done first, then the rose afg

I'm posting this at least before we leave for VBS since I have no idea when we'll get home this evening. Since last week: Finished the pillowghan and sent it off, They loved it Have not started back on the arrowhead MAM or the 63 squares Have started the red roses on the roses afghan, haven't made anymore yellow ones, need 5 more of them since I need 8 of each color. I'm just about finished with the two-tone pink ankle sock and am knitting some (if knitting counts ) Started a tank top I wrote about yesterday in Other Crochet Topics, it's low on the list though. I only need 5 more squares to finish the pineapple pillowghan then I'll get to work on a rose afghan that a lady in church ordered plus I'll get to the 63 squares and arrowhead. I finished another pair of socks over the weekend, they're done in Bernat baby sport in lilac. I have a knit pair started and another crochet pair started for small projects in between the big projects. This pair is being done in Red Heart Super Saver in gold and a varigated that's called grapevine, I think, I can't find it anywhere on C&C website so they may not be making it anymore. Anyway, the body of the so

I've finished the babyghan and gifts. I'll have to give them to Denise's mother to make sure she gets them at the shower this Saturday as we will be out of town all day that day. Need 7 more squares on the pineapple pillowghan to finish, he'll have a late birthday present since this week and next will probably be hectic. He said he understands. Made and finished a pineapple shawl from a frogged sweater and will give that to Mom on Saturday when they get to Aunt Dot's, started me one in Homespun Metropolis. You can't see the pattern as well with the tweedy look but it's going to be very

I've finished the baby set for the baby shower. Now working on the pineapple pillowghan, got 3 more squares done, need 9 more to finish. Have the yarn I need (I hope) to finish the cocoon sweater-I think I'm giving that to my mom for Mother's day, it's a bit tight on me and she isn't quite as big as I am, I think she'll like it too. Finished a pair of socks from sock yarn and a basic pattern the other day, love them. That's all I'm owning up to right now

That is cute but I don't have that kind of money to buy kits. I did find a knitted chart for one that can be converted to crochet that might work. http://www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/motiffrogchart.htm I'll call that a WIM

^Does that mean you frogged an afghan or that you're making a frog afghan? I'd love to find a frog afghan pattern My report: I've made 2 star cuddles for the Humane Society and have another in the works. I'm also going to try a couple of other different patterns and see what works and what doesn't. I'm just about another row in on my pineapple pillowghan I'm a little over halfway on the babyghan Need to finish those last 2 in a hurry so they're priority No more socks No more 63 squares I'll get to those after completing my hurry up afghans

I'm about halfway on the babyghan and I have the first 2 rows of squares and the pocket done on the pillowghan so I have 4 more rows of squares to do on that. It was much easier I think to go ahead and put the pillow pocket on before the ghan is finished. I still haven't done anything on the 63 squares, think I'll pick that up after the baby stuff and pillowghan. I'm tempted to leave the Star afghan the way it is and give it to my friend also, we'll see.

Almost done with the socks, working on the toe and heel today. I've done some more on the baby blanket, will be working on that more. I have 2 rows done and attached on my pineapple pillowghan, will also make that a priority. I seem to have misplaced my first block in my 63 squares, will have to hunt it down. At least it's in a plastic bag so it can't get dirty or anything. That one's on the back burner till I get the pillowghan and babyghan done. Everything else is also on the back burner, my priorities are the pillowghan and babyghan right now.
