Mens Gifts?

Hi all, Anyone know of some great patterns for mens crocheted gifts. I would like to do something nice for the men. When they think crochet, they automatically think scarf and hat.. What gifts have you all done that were great for the men in your lives!?

I just gave my FIL a framed Brilliant Cross in size 10 and my husband a framed one in size 20.

Anyone know of a *nice* pattern for soem mens slipper type thing? I have been promising hubby slippers forever, maybe a really nice pair for christmas?

I would like a travelghan in team colors. It would be great to keep in the car, just in case. Plus, I could take it to ball games.

 

There are a few patterns I've seen. They don't have to be very big but it's nice that they roll up and hold themselves together.

 

PS I like the Miami Dolphins. In Caron SS, that would be Mango, Blue Mint and Navy (I think).

on request of my hubby i did the afghan of the sandman from www.crochetgarden.com in ww yarn for out king size bed. he has had it on bed the bed every night since i completed it. he did not even want it put away during the summer months " just in case the air was set to low"

I made my FIL one of RoseRed's Flannelghans (see the CAL) in OU colors, his favorite team. He would have loved it, but he passed right before I could get it to him.

I'm going to give it a shot. I can never figure out what to make my husband for Christmas. He's not much for purchased gifts; really appreciates gifts from the hands and heart.

wow, I have to say there is some beautiful work here.

 

I have made my men simple things like busines card holders and glasses holders. Strangely enough I have also given the elderly uncles some of my critter bookmarks. As readers they thought they were wonderful.

 

Those framed filet are stunning, and the afghan is just beautiful. I would never have thought of something like that.

I've been wanting to make my hubby fingerless gloves and a couple of bookmarks for his books. He uses kleenex to mark his place.

 

I also made him a pocket for his truck to hold the kid's toys, so it won't go all over his truck.

 

And, of course, I made him a sweater, hat and scarf.
