OK, if this is old news, you may shoot me. But I just ran across this today myself. I know its not the "original" cathedral window pattern, but dang, it's pretty none the less!

I saw that in my magazine, and I thought it looked really pretty. Seems like a lot of sc's, but I only skimmed it really quick. Very striking!

I couldn't get into the Today Crochet website (even your link ) for some reason...

But I saw it over on Maggies Crochet in the magazine section and thought it looked good enough to make.

I haven't got the magazine yet.

I wonder if we decide to do this if we could join the original cal because I think people will want to make it from here until Annies reprints the original (they said sometimes in 2008).

Yes, that's what I was saying. I have a copy of the original window afghan, but this one looks much easier and maybe quicker? This one I may try.

It looks a lot easier than the original...less piecing too.

 

I think it is very interesting how they used similiar colors of yarn to grab everyone's attention.

I saw that pattern too and thought to myself....sure beats paying $50 or more for the other pattern! LOL

Wow, that pattern does seem close to the original. I might have to go looking for that magazine for a closer look.

 

Is Annies Attic really going to put the original cathedral window pattern back in circulation??

i have that magazine! i love that pattern, just havent found time to make it yet!!
