I went looking for yarns to be used for the prayer shawl ministry and my hubby found me a bag of 12 LARGE skeins of yarn for $5!!! 8 skeins of emerald green, 1 black, 1 burgundy and 1 golden yellow. Any ideas for things with the burgundy and yellow???

The Burgandy and Yellow you could do something Harry Potter, seeing as it's the Gryffindor House colors.

Burgandy and golden yellow were the colors at the university my daughters attended. Perhaps there is a school/university in your area with those colors and you could make caps or scarves.

Well, you could always make something for a Potter fan in your life. Or to sell. Mittens? I've seen fingerless gloves. Headbands? slippers?

If you dont want the yellow I could always use it for my duckie projects. I love going to goodwill. I usually find nice yarns ther ebut never anything like that. Congrats.

wow 12 skeins for 5 bucks is awesome, i never find deals quiet that good the goodwill/salvation army stores around here have caught on!! they know if they charge roughly a dollar a ball it will still sell and pretty quickly too.

You could always make toys with them. A burgundy bear would be pretty cute.
