Crocheted Purse with Buttons

Hi

I crocheted this purse from a soft velvety yarn - it's really cute with all the buttons crocheted into it. I got a lot of compliments on it, and used it a lot. I was afraid that, without a lining, I might lose the contents, but it was crocheted with single crochet stitches, and I do crochet a little on the tight side anyway. Never lost a single thing out of it!

Really like it. I have some chenille that I ordered for another project that I ended up deciding not to make...something like this would be a good use for the yarn. Did you use a pattern for this bag?

I really like the look of the chenille yarn. The color is nice also. It's neutral and would go with everything.

I started out following a pattern, but went off on my own after a while, changing the handles and closure. I might make another one for my niece for Christmas.
