yes, it is a unique shape...lol. I want to make one out of the recycled bali sarong silk like the one on the Mango Moon site, but the materials for that one are quite costly, so I thought I better make a sample one out of regular yarn first. Thanks for all the comments.

I started making that pattern with some varigated ribbon yarn I had on hand, but did not like the way it was turning out. I love the way yours looks in the plain white. I may have to try it again in a solid color. Thanks for sharing.

What a "unique" looking purse:yes !! Looks really nice in white!! I've looked at that pattern a few times myself and I agree, the yarn is rather costly:eek !! I do the same thing myself-I will make a "sample piece", to see if 1)I can understand all of the pattern, 2)and what it looks like when it is finished(if it's worth spending the $$$$ on yarn!!! ( I also only make "sample pieces" on small projects:lol )
