Great looking socks! :)

I started on the heel of my first sock today. I'm determined to finish at least the heel tonight so I'd better get my hiney off this computer!

luvtocraft, great job on your socks! :clap

$30 later I decided I better get the heck out of there cause my dears was waiting in the car for me, and I might have to explain all this. I knew only you all would understand and sympathize.
LOL, Joy! We do!! :rollin

Everybody's socks look great!! Aren't they fun to make?! I actually washed mine after wearing them around the house for one day..they came out of the washer and dryer tighter, but still stretched to fit like before. I love that I can just throw these in the wash with the rest of my clothes.

My sock progress has been delayed. <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif" /> My daughter hid my hook so I've got some couch searching to do before I can begin again. I KNEW I should have used a brighter color hook! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/oops.gif" />

Maybe you can find it with a metal detector? <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/laugh.gif" />

I last saw it in their turtle watering can with my steel hooks. It does make a good excuse for a few new hooks, right?? :)

Yes, absolutely. Besides, look at it this way. How many nails for different projects does your husband have? How many eggs do you buy at one time? Newspapers have more than one section in them (usually). There are billions of stars in the sky. I think those are all valid reasons to have more than two of each hook. Use them at any dinner party. And if all else fails, you can use the one I use every single time. I promise I do, Rick can say it along with me.

<span style="color:blue;font-size:x-large;">I didn't have one in that color!</span>

Works every time! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/cutewink.gif" />

Wow--I finished my first pair of socks over the long weekend, and started my second pair as well. I love them, they are short quick projects that I can wear! I will post pix soon....<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/photos.gif" />

well, my socks are on hold... i think i'm over the anger, but then got the invitation for my best friend's son's birthday party. i can't believe he's 1 already. anyhow, i wasn't crocheting at this time last year, so i decided to make something for him. i am going to do that free toddler hoodie jacket patter from bernat. seems to be going okay. i have to have this done in a week :sweat , that's stressful for me, i'm a slow hooker, but, after this.... i'm giving that wart sock pattern a good long talking to :nono

Don't feel bad, I had to put my socks on hold too, they wouldn't be "socky" hehe.

Will let you all know how I am progressing.

I just went to the gallery, they are all so wonderful.

Chie, which sock yarn did you use?

Emily, I didn't use sock yarn, I used Lion Brand Yarn "Homespun" #317 "Pacifica".

My socks are thick and hot so they are not for wearing in your shoes. They are really very soft and nice though. I am looking forward to winter. :bigsmile

I am making 4 more pairs with Homespun for my family. I am planning to make a pair for myself with sock yarn as well. :fluffy
