Dining Room Chairs

I recently re-painted the dining room and have now begun crocheting new slipcovers for my chair seats. These go over the top of the existing chair pad. I added some tufting by stitching with the same yarn and a yarn needle. I am also making some matching placemats for the table. These are done in double crochets with cafe and buff colored yarn. The wall colors are much the same with blue willow dishes as accent pieces in the room.

Isn't it great to be able to make your own things, instead of having to rely on the manufacturers to make what you need, in the size and shape (and color) you need it? Great work!

Well done both your re-painted chairs and your crocheted covers look great. I recently tried covering two of my own cushions with crochet and was pleased with the results and using stash yarn it was a real bargain.

I was just thinking I should do this this morning when I was gazing at my cat sleeping on blue chairs in my sage and brown room. I should think about some pattern.
