Cute bags, Noreen! How big are these bags coming out with the Sugar 'N Cream? — We have one store in town where you sack your own groceries and I've sewed a bunch of sturdy cloth bags for there. I wish all the stores would go to a system where the plastic was eliminated!

Hi Carla

Thank you!

The crocheted part of the Heart bag is approx 19 inches from top edge to lower point and approx 15 inches across.

I agree with you on using cloth and crocheted bags. It's something that we have always done, just as our little part in taking care of the earth!

Happy Earth Day!

:yay

Hi Noah's Mom

I am teaching a workshop on the Lover's Knot at the Knit and Crochet Show in Manchester NH in July, and the Lover's Knot bag is part of the workshop. So, I really can't post the pattern for it.

But, I will be posting some more bag patterns asap!

:yay:hug

Those are all fabulous, thanks so much for sharing! Will you be listing the pattern for your bag using the Lover's Knot? It is gorgeous!

I've just uploaded the pattern for one of my fave crochet market/string bags. Ahem. I have been told that there are people who just don't like charts..... so I have put the pattern into words.

I love the 'Shepherdess' or Dancing Lady or Goddess motif. It's an ancient motif that has been used by needlewomen for thousands of years to celebrate the feminine archetype. So, it's one that I enjoy using, in celebration of all the women who have taken up the needles, sticks, bobbins, shuttles and hooks, since the beginning of time.

Here's the link for it:

Hope you'll enjoy making this!

Last summer, I designed a butterfly shawl for Knit.1 magazine, and we had a fun crochet-along for the shawl.

One of the frustrations that people had was that it was really hard to find the magazine and get the pattern.

I am ABSOLUTELY in love with butterflies (I will be posting a knitted butterfly bag to my blog in the next day or so), and I have been designing some fun new crocheted butterfly pieces. It just struck me that it could be a lot of fun to start a crochet-along, and have the pattern at my blog, so people could get the pattern from my blog without wrestling with finding magazines that are no longer available....

Is anyone interested?

Let me know! and, I'll get flying on it! :bee
