Too-Cute Doll (from Crochet Today magazine)

I found this pattern in the Crochet Today magazine, it was really easy - even being the first thing of this type that I tried - I think it came out pretty cute! It's name is Pepe

Oh, He is soooo cute (he or she?)!! Was it hard to make? I saw those in the magazine and was thinking about trying to make one or two. Yours is sweet!!!

Ha .. you know, I don't know if it is a he or a she. I think a he - but with the eyelashes its a little difficult to say .

 

I didn't think it was hard at all, with one exception. All the pieces with exception of the scarf, start off with an adjustable ring since they are all done in the round. I'd never done that before so that took me a while to figure out how to hold the yarn and stitch around it for the initial stitches. Mostly my problem was that all the instructions I found with illustrations were for right handed crocheters, and I'm a leftie!

 

I eventually figured it out and now its a breeze! I think you should go for it, Pepe needs a friend
