Tug of war ???

I had this zippered bag full of yarn and afghan strips. There was a certain skein of yarn I wanted to use for a super secret project I am working on. Anyhow, I grab the yarn and start working on the project.

I get a few stitches in and notice they yarn does not want me to pull on it. It seems to be stuck in a big knot in the center. Atleast that is what I thought. So I investigate and try to find the mysterious knot.....

Guess what I found????? A hook. LOL! I must have stuck the hook in the skein of yarn for safe keeping. And eventualy forgot it was there. LOL!

gee im glad im not the only one who does things like that i am always stuffing hooks in projects, yarn or what ever then i wonder where they are and not in there case.

I can see me doing that, but I'd be thrilled to have actually found a hook!

I usually don't find the hook until after I go out and buy another. I would also be the one to find a mouse or something.

LOL! I am glad I fond my hook.... Now I have atleast a dozen in that size. I really had forgotten it was there.

Years ago, I bought a huge bag of balled yarn from a thrift store. Whoever had balled the yarn had used rolled up dollar bills...what a find!!!!!!must have been like forty dollars in that bag which at the time was a small fortune. Another time there was a darning needle in each ball holding the end in place. I have found yarn labels and patterns, bobby pins,beads clothes pegs and yes, many hooks.
