A Hat For My Mom

I made this hat for my mom. She has been begging me to make her something for a wile now. So I finally made her this. It is my own design. I made it up when I made my toddler hat (it is posted under the Babies And Toddlers Show & Tell). That was my first design.

 

I am modeling this one, since my mom isn't here to do it for me.

Definitely do it. A hat is quick and easy. And she might stop asking. At least that is what I'm hoping.

Great hat. Um, my question is how do you know if the hat will fit? See I'm working on this beanie for me, and I've started over twice already and going on my third because the way the instructions say to do it is way too big. So, I'm gonna have to omit a few rows. I have actually gotten two requests for this pattern. I didn't think it was all that. But it looks like someone did! So I might post it soon. I just have to get it typed up. This hat is much prettier in the pink that I used before. If you want to see it, here is the link. It is really easy to make smaller or bigger.

All that I did is add or subtract rows at the top, and use a different size hook. Mostly the size of the hook is what makes the difference.

It's a hit! I just distributed the two hats that I made with this pattern and they liked them. I have a request for the Toddler hat in brown. And for a dog hat in the same colors as this one. HAHA. Don't think I can pull that one off.

Making something for my mom didn't make her stop asking for anything though! Now she wants a hat for her dog and some slippers. I'm thinking this could get worse. LOL

The hat is so wonderful. You are a great model and you son takes wonderful photos. He should take the one of Grandma in the hat.
