thread necklace/choker patterns

Hey gang, I am searching for a choker/ necklace pattern, have searched all morning, I want to make it for friend whom owns a "Old Time PHoto" studio, so it needs to be sorta old looking, I want something with a open pattern, not solid, any ideas. And of course I want it free, lol.

This pattern on Crochet Me! inspired me to try beads...bought tons (or at least kilos) and started a small purse but haven't tried the nacklaces...i'll get to that eventually.

Have you thought about using a lacy crochet edging/trim pattern? Weave a piece of ribbon through, extending about 8" on both ends to tie at the back of the neck. I make these for my mothers antique shop all the time. When she wants something elegant, I'll use a size 20 thread and alot of glass seed beads. Good luck!
