Felted Teddy bear

I can't stop making these little felted critters. Here is another one

I used this pattern:

I used a k hook and made all the pieces and felted them first ( one time through the wash) then assembled the bear and ran it through the wash once more. This was such a simple pattern, and worked perfectly for felting. I will definately use this pattern again to make more.

Here it is, Pardon the strange shading on the darker blue, the colors are the same dye lot but some were a little more faded. One of the hazards of using thrift store yarn is that you sometimes have to work with little imperfections. It just adds character I think.

So cute! I have a pattern for a teddy bear I've been meaning to do for my daughter, but I just haven't gotten around to it - hopefully mine turns out as nice as yours!

Hi

He is an adorable bear! Every once in a while I get an urge to make bears... lots of them! I want to be the old lady who has bears in her purse to give away to kids when they are just crying and tired and mom is in a shopping mood-- you know??? ;)

Meanwhile, I have lots of patterns on my site for bears, but here is one of my faves to make. He can be made in an evening.

Other bears are here:

Enjoy!

They are great to make for charity by the way.
