Hook Size?

I love the "I" size.

 

I wish Clover made soft touch hooks in larger sizes. Then I could go back to making afghans with a big hook. That's fun.

I tend to I and J the most, but I have sizes F through P in both aluminum and crystallite. (I'm probably one of those few people who like using all sizes of crystallite hooks)

There was a point I worshipped my N.

 

But after all the squares, the hats, and the baby gear, I like my I and my K the best. Though, I have to admit - my 4.5mm hook is sneaky favorite.

I like H alot, but am using a J for my Snowflake 'ghan and like it pretty well.

I'm a "threadie", so my favorite hook is a 6,7, or 9 steel hook...mostly use size 10 thread, but will often use size 20 or 30 as well....only use size 100 or 50 when I veer of the crochet path to do some tatting!

I LOVE the G hook. It seems like lately that's all I've been using. It's the perfect size for me and I feel dissappointed when I need to use another size. :-P

The hook I use the most is an "H" Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hook, although a J is better for Caron Perfect Match.

i love my 3mm hooks, but i am currently using an 8mm on a project and it is growing on me

Well to me it depends on what I am doing I do a lot of baby blankets in a K hook size but, most of my other projects I noticed I use my P hook a lot:)

I love my H but lately have been using an I in a scarf and a J in a square all are Quicksilvers. I make hats in L or M with Chrystalites.

You want to know what a Jimbo hook is??? Lately i've been wondering that myself... its been so long since i made one (i'm Jimbo).

No wonder you don't know. I've been kinda out of touch lately but have all kinds of intention to get back to business.

Bytheway, Jimbo hooks are hand made wood hooks, typically made from the branches of trees that are collected from the ranch up in the mountains of NE Washington state.

Unfortunately like i say... i haven't made any hooks lately.... been in some kind of hook whittling doldrum, hook maker's block? I need to get off the dime and get whittling again. Maybe your inquiry is just the ticket. I hope so.

More often than not, I have my H hook in my hand.......I prefer my K when I'm working with Homespun, and since I started snowflakes recently, I really like my 3 hook.....
