My lacey-type Sarafina

I finished this a couple of ewkes ago. Made it out of #3 size thread to attempt an antiquey lacey look. It's an off-white color.

I LOVE this pattern and I have enjoyed going through the forum looking at everyone elses's Sarafinas with the different colors.

I am going to have to make more... with different colors.

The thread gives a very nice effect. The shawl comes out a little smaller but I guess that you could have made it larger had you wanted. Lovely.

I'm not sure how many balls I used. I didnt' keep count, but it was quite a few.

 

I'm pretty sure I mispelled and it's Seraphina. It's the name of the shawl pattern. looks like a bat wing

That's very pretty. It's the first time I've been able to discern the pattern of the stitches. They show off beautifully.

That came out beautiful. Using the size 3 thread was a good idea. Something different. I agree with Hellen, we may have to give the Saraphina a category of its own. Everyone I have seen have been so pretty. :clap
