Christmas Stockings

Good morning all -

I can't decide if these are finished yet... I followed the Bernat Crochet Stocking pattern (very loosely, as usual for me), and Lion Wool-Ease. After some trial and error, I decided to add the initial appliques and the red hanger loops. Now I can't decide if I should do red whipstitching all around the toe and heel borders to balance everything out. Any advice?

The stockings turned out beautifully, I think if you add more stitching it will be too busy and take away from the initials........that is my

They look great to me! I, too, think that adding the red may make them a bit too busy. Just my humble opinion, though.

Those are very cute. I can understand the desire to balance out the red by adding just a touch more. Perhaps you can make a holly applique to put on the cuff. That would finish it nicely. There's a pattern here if you're interested.
