Puffy Stitch Shawl

Part of a Cal/Kal I am doing on another website I needed to either pick a Red heart pattern &/or use red heart yarn and then pick a stitch I have not used to learn was part of the Rules...So I picked the Puff stitch and here is the shawl I made it using & practicing the stitch.....

That is very pretty. So, how did you like making the Puff st? I think it adds great texture to projects. Although, it can get to be a bit of a yarn hog when there are so many to make in a pattern.

I enjoyed learning a new stitch but I agree with how much yarn it would hog up plus I think the puff stitch is great for texture & detail but not a whole project

I agree that it's really pretty! 

Puff stitches happen to be one of my favorites. If a pattern calls for popcorn, I like to swap it for puff. I love making words and pictures with them. They are definitely yarn hogs and really add to the weight of an afghan.

Is that a puff stitch?. I been looking at that twice and it looks to me like dc or something... I just can't see "puffy" here.

I must be seeing wrong! LOL

It looks to me like the puff stitches are in the middle part and maybe some of the later rows.....Its very nice.

Only one puff stitch in the middle area per row the rest are DC stitch es

 I see I forgot to share the pattern I used in the above post......I was a cowl pattern I turned into a full size shawl
