A hat and a shrug

I finished these over a  week ago but haven't had time to post them until now.

 

The hat is for me and is the Honeycomb Beaning pattern, I'm pretty sure I found it on Ravelry.

The shrug I made for a member of my sewing guild group, it's actually for her mother. Her mother crochets but has difficulty reading patterns, so she asked me to make it so her mother has a sample to see because she would like to make more for herself. The pattern is 9-to-5 Shrug from Crochet World August 2011.
