Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to get back to my Love of crocheting and I'm a bit rusty at reading patterns!  eckeeee

So, I decided I would join this site and hopefully get my 'rear in gear', dig out the yarn & patterns and start up again.

I hope to enjoy seeing others projects and of course Learn some new things.

But, at this moment, I do have a question.

It Shouldn't Be Difficult....but I guess because I'm 'rusty', I am a bit uncertain about a Direction on a baby blanket that I am starting.

If someone can help me, I will be Very Thankful.

OK, here goes....

I've chained 162

1st. row says:

1 DC in 4th ch from hook.  Ch1 .

Miss next ch.  (1dc in next ch. Ch 1.  Miss next ch)  twice

My question is at this point...by following these directions....  Do I now 5 dc on my chain or 7?

The 'twice' has me confused.....

Thank you and Hello to all of you out there in 'Crochet Land'

5? First DC is the last 3 chains plus ch1 , DC in the 4th chain, ch1, dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc. ch1

If it would have said repeat twice, I would say 7 DC, but it doesn't say that.

Hope you work it out!

1st. row says:

1 DC in 4th ch from hook.  Ch1 . skipped chs = dc, plus dc in 4th ch-----this makes 2 dc

Miss next ch.  (1dc in next ch. Ch 1.  Miss next ch)  twice do what's in the ( ) twice so that's 2 more dc

My question is at this point...by following these directions....  Do I now 5 dc on my chain or 7?

Hello from Mississippi.

I'll muddy the waters and throw in my two cents worth. At this point you have 4 dc in the row.
