Illusiion Knitting & Crocheting

I've been having a lot of fun with illusion knitting. It's fun because you can embed a design or an image in your knitting that can only be seen from a different angle. It's kewl!

That's kewl looking but I wanted to crochet one thing and have it look 2 different ways.

 

I was thinking maybe if I followed one of the charts and crocheted front and back, maybe that would work? I've tried a few different ways, but nothing works.

 

So I went ahead and followed the heart chart and knitted up a square so I could crochet around the outside and make an afgan but my knitting skills are not up to par so the heart didn't even come out right! Oh well...
