I stopped by my local resale shop (it's run by the county Hospice, all proceeds benefit the Hospice program), as I do from time to time just to see what they have....

 

There it was, under a table....a box of yarn, 25cents a skein! I got 24 skeins of various yarns and cotton thread for $6!! Oh happy day!

 

Now, I'll have to remember to go back more often...the volunteer who rung up my purchase said they get yarn fairly often!
