I used a single strand and loosely crocheted the inside flap. Then I added a second strand (crocheting tighter) for the outside and dropped it again (looser) once I got to the second inside flap. I did a double-stranded, reverse sc to secure the flaps and continued straight across with it, but I used a smaller hook~H, I think. The button loop I just joined to a stitch, chained around and then joined with sc back down the back of the chain, securing again to the same stitch. H hook again I think.

You did a great job.. a while back I tried to make a book cover lets say it never made it to be a book cover to big/didn't flex and other issues LOL...Then again I was still new to crocheting back then..
